Artist: Judas Priest
Song: Run Of The Mill
Album: Rocka Rolla
Year: 1974
Lyrics:
What have you achieved
Now you’re old
Did you fulfill ambition
Do as you were told
Or are you still doing
The same this year
Should I give sorrow
Or turn ’round and sneer
I know that the prospects
Weren’t all that good
But they improved
And I’d have thought that you could
Have strived for that something
We all have deep inside
Not let it vanish
Along with your pride
Now with the aid of your new walking stick
You hobble along through society thick
And look mesmerized by the face of it all
You keep to the gutter in case you fall
I can’t go on
I can’t go on
I can’t go on
I can’t go on
I, I, I, I, I Judas Priest – Run Of The Mill

awesome. people hurt people not on my watch.
Beats every fuckin painkiller
Love it … Music really is such a fantastic magical time machine … This takes me hurtling right back through the decades to the very first time I saw Judas Priest as a 15 year old in 1974 on an extremely cold November night in front of about 30 other people in The Memorial Hall, Barry, South Wales … within three years they were playing to 25,000 people in stadiums in Japan.
From there 1st album Rob HALFORD created the birth of the Heavy Metal scream on Run of the mill.
Got a sub from me this is quality
Wonderful music!
Rob Halford's voice on this is awesome!
This would've fit into heavy metal way better than you've got another thing coming in my opinion.
Sheer beauty… sublime
6:34 That fucking feeling. As if the legend of metal has became a God.
And that gnarly guitarist is the harp initiator. It feels as if I died. And walked ahead the stairs by Judas Priest.
I'm 51 and this shit is fucking with me. Gen x broken loser.
Wow I can always go back to priests first album and indulge
Absolute fucking classic that is sooooo underrated. One of the best Priest songs ever, and only real fans know it well.
The proggy PRIEST.
Классика хард рока!
The riff of this song is almost the same with the "Queen of the deep" of UFO.
But this does not reduse his value.
Did Fish steal some melody at the end of this song for Script, that's what I ask myself after listening the first time to this song
My absolute favorite Priest song! The buildup is insane and epic!
juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssss
I heard some element of Child In Time here.
Believe it or not, this is the very first time I have ever heard this song. Wonderful. Amazing. Wondrous. The final 2 minutes, especially: Goosebumps. 😘❤️
This was my favorite song at 9 yrs old, I'm 52 now and it's still fucking awesome……!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recorded in one take according to K.K. Downing. Great song. Cheers!
I don't get the lack of respect their first album gets. This song is an epic and the rest of it is pretty solid, too. Very underappreciated album.
This song is anything but run of the mill.
What have you achieved, now you're old. Damn I told myself life would last forever back then, now I'm old, haven't achieved jack shit.
Nothing compares….simply the best ….
best guitarist even only my opinion love kk fucking so creative priest over all is superior over.maiden Sabbath.mega death.matalica
what is your problem with that cross?…
It’s always so awe struck when you listen to this then to what would eventually would become Painkiller.
Curse you radio stations for never playing this
This would drive me to suicide quicker than "Better By You, Better Than Me".

The greatest lyrics priest -:()
It’s a crying shame that in 1980. They decided to become a cartoon parody of them selfs.
The solo, the drums, and Halford screaming at the end make this a priest classic.
Why do you have the cross with a line through it? Are you a Jew?
Amazing Song!!
Siiick guitar intro !! God damn!
Rocka Rolla is such an old school bone crushing album!!! The 70s vibe is so thick and heavy!! Love it!!! Keep in mind I'm 53.
Das einzige Lied auf dem gesamten Album, das sogar aus der Ferne einen Verdammnis wert ist.
Masterclass on full display. Legends, Icons, The Metal Gods!!!
Epic melancholy. The solo is one of my favorites
Where is rocka rolla album and sad wings of destiny on Spotify ?! How the hell could they took this away! Disrespect full!
Chills every time I hear this
fuck this takes me back
"Do it."
Oh wait… wrong song…
6:33 Unbelievable vocals
Εδώ η φωνή του halford δίνει ρέστα..το χαλί όμως που του στρώνεται είναι μαγευτικό
My absolute three favorite metal singers growing up in the early 80s were, Dio, Dickinson and the Metal God. No first, second or third for me because I think each legend is great in their own style of singing. I know there are many great singers, but for me they are the best ever.
