  1. Love the droning D throughout this & its well worth noting what a good jazz sax player Rory was as well as being the greatest Irish guitar player ever. The Edge can go get fucked, he'll never touch the late lamented Gallagher.

  2. Forgotten? Nah. Saw Taste live a few times – first time by sheer chance in Bromley College. Hadn't heard of them but went along for the beer. Played every track from the On the Boards album plus Catfish and other classics. Probably the best concert I have been to – could that man play with feeling or what. What a loss. Get the album.

  3. Jimi -when asked what it was like to be the greatest guitarist said " I don't know , ask Rory Gallagher"

  4. For me, Rory`s sax-playing was far more moving than his playing the strat (which wasn`t bad, of cause).

  5. Nem az a legjobb gitáros (zenész), aki a legrövidebb idő alatt a legtöbb hangot produkálja a hangszeren. Itt a példa !!!

  6. Just listen closely…  this knocks me down.  I missed it at the time, was too young… I'll have another Duvel on Taste and Rory!!!!

  7. An Irish troubadour produces this brilliant studio album. So sophisticated when compared to his live shows. No criticism of either intended. You have to stop in your tracks and listen.
