  1. The way Plant started writing this lyrics was on auto-pilot. He said the words were just flowing and that he didn't interfere at all. That's the way trully inspired music happens. It just happens, life gives it to you. Sometimes you can even make it better. To receive inspiration from life you must connect to it. 2. All these classic rockers… saw the light. They really were in touch… absurdity and all of us the same. May have taken drugs and alcohol for them to see, but they got it. It's all there, all the time, for anyone, if we are just willing to get the S__t out of the way and be…

  3. I have the Led Zeppelin IV album. My uncle got it for me for my birthday. This is easily my favorite song of all time. I can even play the intro on my electric guitar. It's too hard to barre on my acoustic. Don't worry, they're cheap.

  4. Back in 1974 the Canadian band Wednesday used to close the night with Stairway to Heaven. From what I remember they nailed every note of the song and they had the same feel as Zeppelin – the guitar solo was electrifying! The beer made it sound more fantastic.

  6. I am so blessed to have been brought up during this era. Nothing like it nor will there ever be. Generations may attempt to duplicate, but this era was a gift from the gods. This song won over People Who Need People for my senior class anthem song…..because most of us had real class, not society fake class.
