Covered in French by Johnny Hallyday (“Mal”) and by Kula Shaker in 1996. Billy Joe Royal – Hush (1967)

Absolutely the best version (1967 all over again),if only I knew who stole my copy!!!
super!!!!!!!!!!!
this my jam…
Deep Purple covered this great Beach music version that Billy Joe Royal had written!
Cover of A day in the life of the Beatles
Hush!
Is this Freddy Weller of Paul Revere and the Raiders on guitar, I think he was with Billy Joe Royal before Revere hired him
There certainly isn't one bad cover version of Hush and this one certainly grooves and whenever I spin it in my deejay sets, the groovers dig it!
This is decent but it ain't got nuthin' on Deep Purple.
I prefer Beatles Day In The Life.
Adapted in French by Johnny Hallyday " mal " 1968
deep purple rule
Esta es la mejor porque es la original https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M9se64HoTg.
jon lord owns this tune. total b3 animal
Geil!
I'm a bit embarrassed. I had no idea this was a cover. I like the Deep Purple version better, but that's probably mostly because I heard that version 1st.
At last I got it! THE version! Thnx a lot & best regards from France.
Kula Shaker's version is the best.
Bad Times at the El Royale brought me here. Great!
I like the original as well as the Deep Purple version equally the same. They are both unique in their own way.
It’s not got rhythm man
Joe South hit genius level when he wrote this for Billy Joe Royal. A year after Royal's 1967 release, Deep Purple covered it with a rocket ship version. Later, the German band Mallet covered it and shot it into the deep reaches of the universe. Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqhNmrguCuA
Joe South..I never knew that..!!
Again,shoulda been a big hit.
Superbe, j'adore !
Bily Joe probably agrees that Deep Purple made the most of the Joe South tune but I really like this one as well..I almost think the Joe's is the best
Just heard this on Golden Years Radio . net and all the 60's music that gets played takes me back to the good old days when I had a rock band called The Presidents. Our recording for Decca in 1965 was lost for 53 years and just released in June 2018 and Golden Years has included it in the playlist. Got the old band back together and made a video so it's me 78 miming to me singing 25 – great fun and who knows we might trend : -) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjcKGcM0Rtc
